Radiator Hose Video

The radiator hose transfers coolant from an engine's water pump to its radiator. On most vehicles, there is an upper hose that connects the top of the radiator to the top of the engine, and a lower hose connects the bottom of the radiator to the water pump, which keeps coolant flowing through the system. Radiator hoses often have a recommended replacement interval. If you're not sure about the interval for your vehicle, call our team at My Car Doc Car Care Clinic at 317-345-4528

New radiator hoses are often inexpensive, especially compared to the cost incurred if they are not replaced proactively. A blown radiator hose can cause all coolant to leak from the engine, which can cause your vehicle to overheat. Overheated engines can suffer irreparable damage.

On a periodic basis, do a visual inspection of your radiator hoses. If you see bulging, cracking, or leaks, it's time to replace the hoses. Call My Car Doc Car Care Clinic in Indianapolis at 317-345-4528 if you need your hoses inspected or replaced.
